Carolyn Patrick is the President of Max Q Consultants, where she excels in executive leadership coaching. She offers exceptional operational leadership, organizational psychology expertise, and enterprise-scale management skills that are directly applicable to global consulting. Her extensive experience commanding Air Force organizations, managing substantial budgets, and leading promotion and retention systems provides her with unique credibility in talent management, succession planning, and complex executive decision-making. Coupled with her knowledge in psychology, strategic studies, and continuous process improvement (Lean Six Sigma), she is ideally equipped to diagnose organizational dysfunction, redesign human-capital systems, and implement evidence-based change with rigor, discipline, and measurable outcomes. Her recent focus on executive coaching and entrepreneurship training further enhances her ability to convert theoretical concepts into practical, scalable consulting solutions.


Carolyn holds a Masters of Strategic Studies degree from the US Air Force Air War College, a Master of Social Psychology from Arizona State University, and a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in Psychology from San Diego State University.

Dr. Regan Patrick

Dr. Regan Patrick is the Vice President and Chief Operations Officer of Max Q Consultants, where he applies his expertise in executive leadership coaching. He also serves as Vice President of National Security and Research & Development at the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). Previously, he held the position of Chief Learning Officer for CAE’s Defense & Security Executive Leadership Team, and he was a Program Manager for a $250 million USAF training program. After a distinguished 26-year career in the U.S. Air Force as an officer and HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter pilot, he retired with over 2,400 hours of flight time across various fixed and rotary-wing aircraft, having completed multiple command and leadership tours.


Dr. Patrick brings an integrated operational and academic perspective, leveraging his knowledge of organizational psychology to synthesize innovative design with leading-edge technology, effectively meeting customer requirements in demanding and complex environments. He holds a Doctor of Education in Organizational Change and Leadership from the University of Southern California (USC), an Executive MBA from the Sloan School of Management at MIT (2027), a Master of Aeronautical Science Degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from San Diego State University. Additionally, he is a USAF Air War College graduate and a former U.S. Air Force Air Education and Training Command Master Instructor. Dr. Patrick taught for 11 years as adjunct faculty at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Worldwide Campus, where he emphasized talent management principles. In his personal time, he is also an IRONMAN triathlete.

Michael McManus is an Executive Leadership Coach with Max Q Consultants, bringing over 30 years of senior leadership and advisory experience across Fortune 100 organizations, private equity–backed technology companies, and global military commands involved in high-risk operations. As a former U.S. Air Force Colonel and senior pilot, he possesses deep credibility in executive judgment, disciplined decision-making under pressure, and leadership effectiveness in complex, high-stakes environments.


He has acted as a trusted advisor to corporate senior executives and CHROs during times of rapid growth, organizational transformation, and private equity transition. By integrating his operational leadership experience with training in organizational psychology and executive leadership coaching, he empowers leaders to effectively translate strategy into action and maintain performance under pressure.


Michael holds a Master of Arts in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Louisiana Tech University, a Master of Arts in National Security Affairs from the Naval Postgraduate School, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from The University of Alabama. He has completed senior leader training in Lean leadership and executive management and is currently pursuing his executive coaching certifications through the Center for Executive Coaching and the International Coaching Federation, further enhancing his expertise in talent management.
